Tragic End

In a heartbreaking turn of events, Foolio’s life was tragically cut short. On June 23, 2024, he was fatally shot at a Holiday Inn across from the University of South Florida in Tampa. The incident occurred while he was celebrating his 26th birthday. Foolio’s attorney, Lewis Fusco, confirmed the devastating news, leaving fans and the music community in shock.

Troubled Past

Foolio had faced challenges before. In April 2023, he was arrested and charged with felony fleeing following a traffic stop in Jacksonville. He was later released on bond. Additionally, in November 2021, he survived a shooting incident in Jacksonville’s Riverside area, where he was grazed by a bullet. Foolio defiantly took to Instagram afterward, taunting his assailants for missing their shots.

Gang Ties

Foolio was associated with the Jacksonville gang KTA[1], which had an ongoing feud with rival gang ATK. Notably, ATK included prominent Jacksonville rapper Yungeen Ace (real name Kenyatta Bullard)[2] as one of its members. The tension between these groups added complexity to Foolio’s life and career.

Remembering Foolio

As fans mourned the loss of this rising star, Foolio’s impact on the music scene remained undeniable. His lyrics and raw talent resonated with listeners, and his untimely death left a void in the industry. We remember Julio Foolio not only for his music but also for the struggles he faced and the legacy he leaves behind.
