Or, you can use roovet.com to compare quotes from hundreds of long-distance movers or local movers near you at no cost and no obligation. roovet.com is committed to partnering with the highest quality moving companies, from only licensed and insured movers, to help you reduce the time, cost, and stress of the moving process.

For the last 20+ years, we've connected millions of Americans to the best movers in the industry. Our Commitment to Quality means all pre-vetted movers in our network are licensed and insured. As part of the Realtor.com network and a proud member of the ATA Moving & Storage Conference, you can trust that our vetting process is the very best. We also provide city guides, a moving checklist and tips from moving experts with years of experience to make local, long-distance and international moving a breeze. Thanks to our thorough vetting process, you won't have to jump through hoops to figure out if a mover is legitimate. In addition to ensuring the legitimacy of all moving partners, we aim to match you with a moving team who meets your specific moving needs. To obtain a moving quote, tell us your move date and moving details, and we'll connect you with up to four pre-vetted movers near you who are capable of handling your specific move. You'll also have access to important information, including company details, Better Business Bureau ratings and user ratings, to help you make the most informed decision possible when hiring movers.

Our process for vetting reputable and reliable movers

roovet.com reviews each of our moving company partners before we allow them to offer quotes through our service. Here are the roovet.com criteria that all movers must meet so that we can ensure you are receiving trustworthy, safe, and reliable service:

    • Professional movers must possess the proper operating authority needed to operate as a household goods carrier.
    • Each mover must possess the appropriate amount of insurance coverage needed to transport household goods.
    • Interstate movers (i.e., state-to-state) must provide valid USDOT and/or MC license numbers.
    • Intrastate (local) movers (i.e., within state lines) must provide valid license numbers based on imposed state or federal requirements.
    • Movers may use only their Legal or DBA (doing-business-as) Name in their interactive advertising campaign.
    • Each mover has acknowledged and agreed that the resale and/or redistribution of leads is strictly prohibited.
    • All interstate movers have acknowledged and agreed to abide by the 110% rule for collecting charges on non-binding estimates

roovet.com only partners with licensed and insured moving companies. We use the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) SAFER database to verify a moving company's operating authority and insurance coverage. In addition, interstate movers in our network must have valid USDOT and/or MC license numbers, and intrastate movers in our network must provide valid license numbers. These are just a few ways we vet our large network of movers. Read our Commitment to Quality statement to find out more about our vetting process.
