Outbound **voice** can display a verified non-Twilio number as Caller ID. SMS must use Twilio numbers.
Verified Caller ID (voice only)

To show a non-Twilio number (e.g., Google Voice or your main line) as outbound Caller ID, verify it in Twilio. Voice only; SMS cannot use verified non-Twilio numbers.

Google Voice (Workspace)

  • Google Voice has no public API for programmatic calling or SMS; manage numbers in Admin Console or via SIP Link.
  • For inbound calls, forward your Voice number/ring group to a Roovet Talk number to use IVR, recordings, and CRM logging.
  • For outbound voice, set Twilio’s Caller ID to your Voice number (after verifying it in Twilio). SMS remains on Twilio numbers.
  • Enterprise SIP Link requires a certified SBC (AudioCodes / Oracle / Ribbon).
